Welcome to My Fitness Journey

Hello!  My name is Amy Foster and this is my story.  I started my fitness journey back in September 2013 when I kept seeing posts about a friend of mine doing a fitness challenge, so naturally, I inquired as to WHAT in the world was it? Turns out, she was in a 30 day Beachbody Challenge and her transformation was AMAZING!

 

I have always struggled with depression and anxiety - on medications for both. I have always wanted to workout and eat better, not only for myself, but for my family as well.  I tried, and failed, and tried again, and failed again.  I could NOT stick to anything, until that wonderful day I joined a challenge group.  I started working out 5-6 days a week and making healthy meals and snacks.  Before I knew it, I actually started enjoying working out and enjoying how I felt.  I became happier and less depressed. I eventually came off my anti-depressants and anxiety medication.  I'm not so tired all the time.  I can run and play with my kids without dying from exhaustion.  I am loving life!

 

I don't have a huge physical transformation because I was always skinny - but not fit.  I was teased when I was little about being too skinny (I know - hard to believe right?).  There is a difference between skinny and fit & healthy.  Don't get me wrong, I am always still working on my physical transformation.  After 2 kids, its necessary!  :-)

 

I am currently doing P90X3 and eating clean.  Stay tuned for my physical transformation pics!
